Welcome to NCRC

Welcome to the North Carolina Roadrunners Club, commonly known as NCRC! We're a nonprofit organization that's a member club of the Road Runners Club of America, one of 23 RRCA clubs in North Carolina. We're based in Raleigh, where our club began in 1979 (see the About NCRC tab for more details). NCRC is also a member club of USA Track & Field. NCRC hosts three races each year, ranging in length from 5K to half-marathon, and holds an annual fund-raising event (see the NCRC Races/Events tab for details). Benefits of becoming a club member include race and in-store discounts, a bimonthly online newsletter, and a member rewards program. We also hold social runs and other events throughout the year (see the Calendar tab). All runners and walkers are welcome to join us! May Memorial to Memorial Social Run — May 25

For our May social run, NCRC will be joining Triangle Run Smart Training's annual Memorial to Memorial Run on Memorial Day, May 25. This run, which honors our nation's veterans, starts at 7:30 a.m. from Veterans Freedom Park on Harrison Avenue in Cary, then goes through Umstead State Park and the N.C. Museum of Art campus to downtown Raleigh, ending at the N.C. State Memorial Belltower on Hillsborough Street for a total of about 10 miles. Refreshments will be available at the art museum and belltower. Other route options are available, including starting from the art museum (about 4 miles one way), the belltower to the art museum and back, and the belltower to the Cary monument and back.

Earlier Date for NCRC's ATT Race — Saturday, Oct. 10

Registration is open for NCRC's fall race, the American Tobacco Trail 10-Miler and 4-Miler!. The race this year will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, two weeks earlier than our usual race date. Registration for the 4-Miler is only $20 for runners 18 and under on race day! The two races, which follow out-and-back courses on the ATT, start and end at the White Oak Church Road trailhead (1305 White Oak Church Road in Apex). The fall date creates a scenic backdrop for this event.
If you're unable to run the race, please consider volunteering! You can make this a family fall outing.
