Welcome to NCRC

Welcome to the North Carolina Roadrunners Club, commonly known as NCRC! We're a nonprofit organization that's a member club of the Road Runners Club of America, one of 23 RRCA clubs in North Carolina. We're based in Raleigh, where our club began in 1979 (see the About NCRC tab for more details). NCRC is also a member club of USA Track & Field. NCRC hosts three races each year, ranging in length from 5K to half-marathon, and holds an annual fund-raising event (see the NCRC Races/Events tab for details). Benefits of becoming a club member include race and in-store discounts, a bimonthly online newsletter, and a member rewards program. We also hold social runs and other events throughout the year (see the Calendar tab). All runners and walkers are welcome to join us! Support Team Fluffy at Cancer Walk/5K — Saturday

Support Team Fluffy Strong (or another team) Saturday at the Gail Parkins Memorial Cancer Walk and 5K in Raleigh. Team Fluffy Strong honors Maureen Bowen, an NCRC member who started the team and died of ovarian cancer in 2020. This team (join the team when you register for the event) annually is the largest team at the Raleigh event. There's two options: a 5K at 8:30 a.m. or a walk at 10:30 (ovarianawareness.org). If you do the walk, you can still do your longer Saturday training run beforehand.

Registration is open for NCRC's fall race, the American Tobacco Trail 10-Miler and 4-Miler, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25. Registration for the 4-Miler is only $20 for runners 18 and under on race day! The two races, which follow out-and-back courses on the ATT, start and end at the White Oak Church Road trailhead (1305 White Oak Church Road in Apex). After heading north of the trailhead last year, the courses return to south of the trailhead this year. The fall date creates a scenic backdrop for this event.
